Armed with more than 20 years of expertise in fund raising and not-for-profit management, I have helped a variety of organizations build stronger, more effective, and enduring fund raising programs. I provide clients with hands-on, individualized assistance and counsel in every aspect of the fund raising process. There are no cookie-cutter solutions to the fund raising challenges of the organizations I counsel. My work is client-driven and based on the needs and expectations of each organization. Generally, the specific assistance I provide to clients falls into four categories: •Develop and strengthen Major Donor Programs – Create programs that enable you to: get the most out of major supporters; learn who they are and why they give; increase their numbers; reach out to them personally; produce donor friendly marketing materials; and engage the board in the process. •Manage Capital Campaigns – Conduct the feasibility study; set sights high; state the case; recruit leadership; and manage the donor identification, cultivation and solicitation process as a member of your campaign team. •Build or Restart Development Programs – Help start-up operations, and help energize those that are stuck or stalled. •Train boards and development staff in fund raising – Conduct sessions on “Making the Ask”, “Fund Raising Fundamentals,” “Creating the Case for Support” and others in small or larger group settings.
