Strength in Numbers

The Museum Association of New York is a membership-based organization serving the state's vibrant and diverse cultural institutions. MANY provides professional development, legislative monitoring and advocacy, support and guidance for capacity building and numerous workshops, institutes and opportunities to network and engage with our peers from all corners of the state, from the St. Lawrence River to Staten Island to Chautauqua to Montauk Point. 

Chartered by the New York State Education Department, MANY is committed to strengthening the state’s museum, heritage and cultural community. As an information and advocacy resource serving nearly 500 institutional, individual, and corporate members across New York State, MANY is a one-stop resource for legislative and policy issues and action, the latest trend data, and the full spectrum of professional and operational development.

MANY is a not-for-profit corporation governed by an elected board of directors whose members represent museums and historical organizations form across the state.
